Executive Presence
The combination of communication, confidence, and credibility that makes leaders seem ready for greater responsibility.
Executive presence is how a leader is perceived in high-stakes moments: board meetings, media interviews, investor calls, and public speaking. It's shaped by how someone communicates and carries themselves, but online it's also shaped by their bio, LinkedIn presence, and public materials.
Example
A founder preparing for a Series B raise might work on executive presence by tightening how they answer hard questions and updating a dated LinkedIn profile that still lists their first job out of college.
Nuance
Executive presence is not about appearing more senior than you are. Overstated titles or credentials undermine it rather than build it.
