Speaker Positioning
A clear, specific description of the topics and audience a speaker is best booked for.
Speaker positioning defines the two or three topics a speaker is known for and the type of audience or event those topics fit best. Event organizers often decide within minutes whether a speaker fits their event, so vague positioning, like "leadership and growth," tends to get passed over for something more specific.
Example
Instead of "leadership speaker," a clearer position might be "helps mid-size manufacturing companies retain frontline supervisors."
Nuance
Narrower positioning usually books more consistently than broad positioning, even though it feels counterintuitive to specialize.
