Professional Bio
A written summary of who you are and what you do, written for a specific context like a website, LinkedIn, or a speaking introduction.
A professional bio introduces you in third or first person for a specific purpose. Most people need several versions: a one-line bio, a short bio of two to three sentences, and a longer bio for a website or media kit, each written for how it will actually be used.
Example
A one-line bio might read: "Jane Smith helps mid-size law firms modernize client intake." A longer website bio would expand on her background, approach, and results.
Nuance
A professional bio is not a resume. It should read like an introduction a person could say out loud, not a list of job titles and dates.
